Scouts Canada, the country’s leading youth organization, offers challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in thousands of individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada.
Council Camp Sites
Camp Amisk is located just south of Winnipeg along the LaSalle River, opposite LaBarriere Park. This camp has bush and field campsites ideal for use by groups for evening, one-day or weekend camps. Outhouses are provided; groups must bring their own equipment. Take advantage of this camp to help put more "out" in your Scouting program.
Camp Amisk is located about 3 miles south of the Perimeter Highway on Waverley Street. The camp is approximately 25 acres in size, and forms part of theLa Barriere Park system. The northern boundary of the camp is formed by the La Salle River, the southern boundary is formed by the Floodway dike.
- Scouting and Guiding groups, any site: $25/ night (or for an all-day booking)
- Non-Scouting and Guiding groups (Cadets, Army or Air Force, schools, mixed, etc.): $30/night (or an all-day booking)
There is NO charge for an evening event, although there is still a requirement to book a site.
Booking a site also includes the use of the Donut campfire lodge at no additional charge. To camp on the Donut site, fees apply as per above.
Special events, Klondike, Wilderness Challenge, New Directions, etc., will be priced individually.
Although there is no requirement for a damage deposit, Scouts Canada/Camp Amisk reserves the right to ask for additional fees in the case of damage to the property or equipment.
